Thursday Cont'd

Well I was going to post the picture of Sarah and I in our little cars but for some reason I missed it so here they are for everyone that was asking for them :) I got in the black truck too but I didn't look like a midget as much as Sarah so I didn't bother :)

Kayleigh and I had a slumber party after I left that night...we didn't get home until about midnight and Kayleigh had fallen asleep in the car but when we got home she decided she'd rather stay up for a bit. So I read her some stories and she fell asleep on the 3rd one :)

Oh and guess what!!! Yesterday was a great day! I got a call from Companions & Homemakers and they were wondering if I wanted to be at Fay's from 10-1 instead of 10-12 every day!!! So that's an extra 5 hours for me! Then Around the Clock called wondering if I wanted to take a case for a 10 year old girl from 3:15-6:15 every day!!! I'm going to do it for next week and if I decide I like it I can keep it :) I'm pretty excited!

Kayleigh took these pictures! Isn't she a good photographer?

She looks real enthused doesn't she?

Another Thursday

Well I'd have to say today was a pretty fun-filled day starting at 1:00. Before 1 was not so fun...I had to go to a 4 hour orientation at Around the Clock and it was pretty much really boring! The lady had a monotone voice and she gave us one 10 minute break! There were only 4 of us but I think all of our stomach's were grumbling! I was going to do good for lunch but by the time I got done with that I decided that I was gonna treat myself to McDonald's. I went through the drive-up and I was gonna take it home to eat but when I was leaving I saw Dee's car in the parking lot. I looked in the window and there she was, sitting with Linda Lanz and Lydia. So I parked my car and brought my food inside to eat with them :)

After McDonald's I went to Dee's to check my email and such and I found out that a lady in CT signed up for Simply Said under me!!! So I get 5% of what she sells!!! I was pretty excited about that.

After that Kayleigh and I went to visit my Grandma Gerber in the hospital. She was so excited on the elevator she could hardly contain herself but as soon as we got to the room she clung to me like none other! I don't know what the deal was but she warmed up eventually and let Grandma show her how her IV worked :)

Then it was off to the Lanz's. Sarah and I were planning to take our nieces on a walk to see some golden retriever puppies that a family from church has right now that are about 1-1/2 weeks old. Unfortunately by the time I got to her house it had started raining a little so we drove instead of walking. There was also a horse there that they sat on but I didn't get a very good picture of Kayleigh because by the time she go on it, the horse had had enough and didn't really want her there. Actually before we went to see the puppies the girls took a ride with Greg on his little Honda dirt bike. They also got pushed around by Sarah on a little quad :)

Let's see...what did we do next?? Oh ya!!! Sarah and I acted like we were 3!!! We crammed ourselves into little-kid cars just to see if we could :) I thought the pictures looked really funny because they made us look like midgets.

After supper we went on a walk and after our walk we went to Shawn and Heathers where they were making little flowers for Lydia's birthday party tomorrow. It was pretty fun although I didn't last for more than 2 flowers :) I just can't do it like some people! Kayleigh and Lydia took a bath together too and that was cute :)

And here I am now with nothing else to write but waiting for my pictures to download...I'm not sure what's taking them so long!!! I have a ton and it's getting late and this is only the first 5!!!

Oh, while I'm waiting I'll let you all know that I'm probably going to get pulled over tonight on my way home. I'm still at Sarah's and it's after 11 and I found out tonight that my headlight is out...so I figure I'll probably get pulled over if I pass a cop. I think it would actually be kinda fun if that's all I got pulled over for just because I've never experienced being pulled over and it wouldn't be for speeding of course because I NEVER speed!!! Especially not in CT since the speed limits are so much higher here...JK!!!

Oh and by the way...what's up with the comments lately??? Julie and Jessica are the only ones to get any credit!

I hope you all enjoy these pictures because it took me over an hour to download them all!!!

Take a look at Lydia's face!!! I think this is one of the best pictures EVER!!!

My little midget friend :)

Unloading Of The Mower

Okay so here's the story...Sam drove his truck out to New York with Brad and Dee's trailer and a bunch of their stuff on it like Kayleigh's playscape, pool, bike and a bunch of Brad's yard stuff. The lawn mower was in the bed of the truck. So in New York they transferred the mower and trailer which wasn't really that hard because the just backed the trucks up to each other and pushed the mower across. Well when we got to Connecticut we had to get the mower off the truck with no ramps...well we had "ramps" but they didn't really work very well. They were just two boards that fell when the mower made contact with them :) So...we got the front of the mower off the truck and it was on the ground but the back wheels were still on the truck and it's really heavy believe me! I was in the back holding it so it wouldn't fall off and Brad was on the ground...Dee was taking pictures :) Anyway...we just kinda stood there for a while not really knowing what to do, but eventually we got up the courage to roll the back off. It came down really hard but nothing was broken!!! Not even us...which I didn't think was possible :) Then we had to put the toolbox back in the bed of the truck but that wasn't nearly as heavy or as hard to accomplish. That's my story...hope I didn't put you all to sleep :)

WE DID IT!!!

New York & My Bedroom

We left for New York on Friday at about 1:00 and got there at about 5:30. I tell ya, this trip was a breeze...the car ride was sooooo short compared to Illinois :) We went out to supper at this really good restaurant on Friday night but it took a really long time! We were there for 3 hours!!! We stayed at a Bed & Breakfast minus the Breakfast :) It was a huge old house attached to an old store that isn't open anymore. It was a really cool house and we were the only ones staying there so we had free reign. It had 4 bedrooms upstairs so we all got our own rooms. Kayleigh slept with me and on the second night I woke up to something laying over my head. Thinking it was Kayleigh's arm, I shoved it off. Then it happened again...and again, so I decided to see what it was. It was Kayleigh all right but it wasn't her arm...it was her leg! She was laying the opposite way in the bed and her head was hanging over the side! I'm not exactly sure how she managed that one :) It happened again before it was time for me to get up...then she took the whole bed :)

On Saturday we had a graveside service for my Grandma but it didn't last long because it was FREEZING and SNOWING and BLOWING like none other!!! Actually it wasn't really snowing that much but it was really really cold and windy with a mixture of snow and rain.

We left on Sunday after supper and got home at about 9:15 or so, then we had to unload the lawn mower off the back of the truck, which was an interestingly scary experience. I thought I was gonna die before the night was over but obviously it all turned out good :) I'll post pictures of it later because I don't have the pictures on my computer yet (they are on Brad's camera and he has it at work at the moment).

There's not really any new news so I'll wrap it up :)

This was probably the funniest part of the house we stayed in. If you were upstairs looking down the steps in the back of the house you got a nice view of whoever was sitting on the toilet :) There was no door on the bathroom!!! Luckily there was a bathroom upstairs with a door...but it didn't lock :)

Kayleigh and I spent quite a bit of time playing the battleship game that we found on our dresser.

These here are the pictures of my bedroom :)

This is the free Simply Said design that I got in my starter kit. You are supposed to put it somewhere in your house so people can see it when they come over, so I put it in my room :)

It's kinda hard to tell what my room really looks like when you see it in pictures so you'll all just have to come see it for real :)

Another Job!!!

I still don't have any pictures but I'm getting closer!!! My camera charger came in! It's currently charging so I'll take some pictures on my way home from New York, where I'm headed right now with Brad, Dee and Kayleigh & Kenzie on either side of me :)

I finally got an interview at Around the Clock, the place that I had applied at the very first week I was here for a CNA job, and they hired me!!! I'm still gonna work for Companions and Homemakers but hopefully get about full time at Around the Clock which is very exciting for me!

So I'm kinda bored right now just sitting in the truck while the rain is pouring down, waiting for an email from Brad Leuthold about some Simply Said stuff. Kayleigh is laughing at Kenzie and Kenzie is just staring at her (with a little smirk on her face :) )

Okay well I don't know what else to say. I promise I'll take pictures on my way home and post them, then when I get home I'll take pictures of my room and post them!

Just Random Babbling

I don't have any pictures to post but it's been a while since I've said anything so I'll just say something :)

Work has been going good...Fay and I have been getting to know each other better all the time. She's so cute!

Simply Said is working on taking off still. Michelle came out last weekend and we had a party on Friday night and a party on Saturday. They went pretty good and I got another party booked at both of them :)

I really don't know what else to say, there's nothing new :( I've not been having too much of a life lately...just the same thing over and over pretty much, which is good I guess because that means I'm getting into a routine! That's all I have for now :)

The Beach

We made another trip to Hammonasset only this time the weather was slightly opposite from the last time...and we had one other passenger, Rebecca Moser. We left at about 9 in the morning and got there a little after 10 and hung out til about 1 or so. The weather was absolutely gorgeous!!! You couldn't ask for a nicer day at the beach. The ocean was so still it looked like a lake. There were no waves whatsoever...i've never seen anything like it! We walked...and walked...and walked...and walked some more...with no shoes...until we got to the rocks and then we went out almost to the end. It was rather precarious for me :) After the rock pier we climbed on top of a "wicked" tall rock :) That was a little precarious too...but not only for me this time :) The getting up was fine, it was the getting down that was a little stressful! After that we headed back to our towels and laid down (well some of us did) for a while to get some color of course :) Rebekah had other ideas...she got a little bored just laying so she made a "huge" stick wall :) It's kinda hard to explain so we'll show you a picture. To give you an idea, one of the sticks was taller than me...as if it takes a lot :) We called Dorothy to find out where a good place for lunch was and she said "Larry and Joes...or is it Jack and Bob's...or Jerry and Tom's...sigh...I know it's two men's names..." It ended up being Lenny and Joe's and it was FANTASTIC!!! I got a lobster roll that was really expensive but worth every penny! We also got onion rings to split that were really good too...even though those aren't exactly what you'd call seafood. Then we came home, took showers and found out that we were all pretty fried...but it doesn't really hurt too much so thats good.

If you look out you can see a lighthouse in the picture...well I guess it's probably about in the middle of the picture. Look close :)

Check out the color in these pictures. You can't tell where the ocean stops and the sky starts...it was all the same color! It was really pretty.

This was the precarious moment on the rocks :)

This here is the "wicked" tall rock that we were on top of...apparently I couldn't believe that we had been on top of that thing! (check out my face) hehe

Rebekah and I have been working out...it's paid off too cause you can see that she's strong enough to hold up the rock :)

This here is the "huge" stick wall...it actually looked pretty cool and it got a few comments from some people wandering by :)

I realized that I forgot to say that our hike was on Friday (one of the most beautiful Good Fridays I can remember). I just wanted to throw that out there before you all got confused and maybe thought I went on a hike and to the beach on the same day :)
